PM Modi Celebrates 300th Birth Anniversary of Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar in Bhopal

On the historic occasion of Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar’s 300th birth anniversary, Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the Mahila Shakti Samman Sammelan held at Jamboree Maidan in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The event celebrated women empowerment, India's rich cultural heritage, and the remarkable leadership legacy of Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar.



Key Highlights of the Bhopal Event


During the grand celebration, PM Modi inaugurated several major development initiatives:

Indore Metro Project: The Prime Minister launched the primary corridor of the Indore Metro, a 6-kilometer stretch of the Yellow Line comprising five stations. This modern transit system aims to make Indore, India's cleanest city, even more sustainable and commuter-friendly.

Datia and Satna Airports: PM Modi virtually inaugurated two new airports to boost connectivity and regional development in Madhya Pradesh.


Atal Gram Seva Sadan: The Prime Minister released the first installment of ₹483 crore for constructing 1,271 new Panchayat buildings across rural Madhya Pradesh. These will serve as key governance centers in villages, strengthening rural infrastructure.
